Otherwise, the matching of flow and the head of the centrifugal pump with the hrdrocyclone( desilter, desander, jet mud mixer device) must be appropriate. If not, the hydrocyclone can’t normal work.

If centrifugal pump is feeding pump for hydrocyclone separator the drilling mud will flow into cones under pressure and get a screw to separate larger particles out. If the pump is only transferring pump or for mixing system the pressure will ensure the sufficient motivity and flow rate.

Jet Mud mixer is a special equipment for solids control

Solids control is a technique used in drilling rig to separate the solids in the drilling fluids that are crushed by the drill bits and carried out of the well surface. Normally solids control system is consist of five stages, including mud tank, shale shaker, vacuum degasser, desander, desilter, centrifuge. Shale shaker is used to separate the big solids with diameter above 75μm, and 45~74μm for desander, and 15~44μm for desilter. Sometimes desander & desilter are combined as high efficient mud cleaner. When air enters into the drilling fluids, vacuum degasser is used to separate the air. If no air in the mud, the degasser would work as a big agitator. All these equipments are mounted on the top of the mud tank. After separating the solids, the clean mud would be pumped into the borehole again.
Jet Mud Mixer is a special equipment to prepare and increase the drilling fluids weight by adding and mixing bentonite, change the fluid density, change the mud density, viscosity, and dehydration. Purpose of Jet Mud Mixer
Jet mud mixer is used to make up drilling mud or increase total amount of the drilling mud, change the mud density, viscosity, and dehydration. When making up again, put the materials of drilling mud (such as bentonite and barite powder) and corresponding chemical additives (such as polymer) into the recycle tank through the jet unit. Here, we should note is that the materials of drilling mud and chemical additives can not be put directly in case of deposited largely or dump together. Thus, we can’t obtain diffused and well-proportioned drilling fluid.

The drilling fluid decanter centrifuge is driven by two motors for drilling mud system

KOSUN drilling fluid decanter centrifuge is driven by two motors. The main motor drives the drum and reducer case rotate by the belts. The vice motor drives the spiral through the reducer. The drum and spiral rotate together for the same direction, and produce some difference of speed. Separate the solid phases in the drilling mud by the centrifugal sedimentation principle. The drilling mud flows into the drum from the fluid hole through the inlet pipe and under the force of screw pusher, under the effect of centrifugal force, the solid phases will be pushed onto the inside wall of the drum, pass the impeller on the screw pusher and be discharged from the exhaust hole at the small side of the drum. The liquid phase will flow out from the big side. The drilling fluid re-circles like above to achieve the target of continuous separation.

Decanter Centrifuge can effectively remove the harmful solid particles from the oil and gas drilling fluid, improve the mud performance, ensure the drilling safety, lessen the pollution of oil/gas reservoir and reduce the mechanical abrasion of drilling equipment. 1650-2200 rpm centrifuge can separate 2-7μm solid particles.

Working Principle:

Mixing with the acceleration phase: the material into the mix and get into the correctly predicted to accelerate, to ensure that the best state of the material into the separation zone.

Clarify the stage: the role of the centrifugal, the materials in the drum line segments rapid separation and sedimentation, the supernatant was separated in the drum weir discharge port.

Compression stage: the propeller will be sent to the discharge side of solid deposition, the material under the action of the centrifugal force can be further compressed, and the release of pore water.

Compression in the right section: the drum section of the cone, the material produced by the specially designed biaxial compression, screw conveyor family properly designed, produced along the axis of extrusion pressure.

Working of KOSUN Screw Pump

KOSUN Screw pump is having the simplest working on the entire pumps. Let’s  start with fluid coming at inlet at the bottom most part of this pump. Now since driver screw is rotating and other two drive screws are also rotating but in different directions, they tend to build up the suction pressure at the bottom part. This suction pressure makes the fluid to move upward. Fluid passes through the small clearance between these screws and also the centrifugal force is experienced by this fluid. Both of these factors contribute towards providing the force which in turn results in the development of pressure in the fluid.
