Mud Agitator Helps To Mix The Drilling Mud In Solids Control

A Mud Agitator is used in surface mud systems to suspend solids and maintain homogeneous mixture throughout the system. A mechanical agitator is driven by an explosion-proof motor, coupled to a gear box that drives the impeller shaft. The impellers (turbines) transform mechanical power into fluid circulation or agitation. The objective is to obtain a uniform suspension of all solids.

KOSUN Mud Agitator is a compact unit that widely used for maintaining a drilling/workover fluid of uniform consistency throughout the surface mud system.KOSUN Mud Agitator takes advantage of the high efficiency (92%) gear reducer to rotate the impeller at 60RPM or 72RPM ,depending on the input power.The resulting flow pattern maintains an optimum Turnover rate(TOR).The TOR is defined as the numbers of seconds required for the impeller to pump the full mud volume within the sizing area. TOR should be in the range of 40 to 90 Seconds for all sizing areas.
