The drilling mud agitator is mainly used for mixing the drilling fluid to keep the uniformity of the mud and the suspension state of the solid particles. It can agitate the drilling fluid consecutively and reliably with both axial and radial flows to ensure the active mud system flowing evenly without participation of the silt, sand and other solid matters.

KOSUN MA series mud agitator is part of the drilling fluid solids control equipment, which is mainly used to agitate and mix the drilling mud to prevent solids particles from depositing in the circulating tank and to stabilize the performance of drilling fluid. It is composed of explosion-proof motor,speed reducer,motor base and blade.The connection between motor and speed reducer,speeder reducer and impeller shaft is achieved by steel coupling .The impeller is welded by four blades.

Attaching the motor directly to the gearbox prevents misalignment that can result in premature bearing failure and provides 95 percent efficiency in power transfer to the impeller. Using this superior design surpasses standard worm drive gear assemblies by 30 percent, allowing Derrick agitators to do the same work at far less horsepower. By unitizing the motor and gearbox, weight and space requirements are reduced. Horsepower, mechanical configuration, impeller diameter, and shaft length are customized to tank dimensions and maximum mud weights. Available horsepower ratings* are: 5, 7.5, 10, 15, 20, 25, and 30.
